Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions form a binding agreement between you and Kelp Core Lab when you use our website or engage our services.
1. User Obligations
- 1.1 You agree to provide accurate information when submitting an enquiry or order.
- 1.2 You agree not to misuse this website, including attempts to disrupt its normal function.
- 1.3 Any age restrictions applicable under Japanese law for the purchase of agricultural products apply.
- 1.4 Content guidelines: any correspondence with us should remain respectful and relevant to our services.
2. Liability and Warranties
- 2.1 Kelp Core Lab makes no warranty that a given feed or plan will produce a specific outcome, as growing conditions vary widely.
- 2.2 To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.
- 2.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or advice.
- 2.4 Force majeure: we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather affecting coastal collection.
3. Legal Information and Dispute Resolution
- 3.1 These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
- 3.2 Disputes will first be addressed through direct correspondence with us before any formal proceedings.
- 3.3 If any clause of these terms is found invalid, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
- 3.4 We may update these terms periodically; continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
4. Services and Fees
Fees are those listed on the offer pages when you book: ¥1,800 for a soil and leaf sampling consultation covering up to four beds, ¥3,400 for a seasonal feeding plan for one plot of up to twelve beds, and ¥4,200 for a seaweed extract blend. A sampling visit lasts about an hour on site. Any travel cost outside the Osaka area is quoted before the booking is confirmed.
5. Sampling Visits
- Please leave beds unfed for at least ten days before a sampling visit, so readings reflect the soil rather than a recent application.
- We take small samples from each bed and leaves from growing crops; nothing is removed beyond what testing needs.
- Results are sent in writing within five working days of the visit.
6. Feeding Plans and Revisions
A seasonal feeding plan is written for the crops and rotation you describe. One revision during the same season is included, for example when a crop fails and a bed is replanted. Further changes, or plans for an additional plot, are quoted separately.
7. Extract Orders and Dosing
Extract blends are prepared to order in five-litre or ten-litre volumes, labelled with a batch date and a dilution ledger. Store containers out of direct sun and use them within the season shown on the label. Results in the bed depend on weather, soil and how closely the dilution schedule is followed, so we cannot promise a particular yield; we can promise to look at the records with you if something does not respond as expected. If a container arrives damaged or leaking, tell us within seven days and we will replace it.
8. Cancellation
A sampling visit can be moved or cancelled free of charge up to two working days beforehand. An extract order can be cancelled until blending has started; after that, because each batch is prepared for your crops, it cannot be returned unless it is defective.
9. Payment
Sampling and feeding plan fees are paid by bank transfer within seven days of receiving the written results or plan. Extract orders are paid before dispatch, and a receipt listing the batch date accompanies every delivery. All prices include consumption tax.
10. Delivery
Extract blends are sent by courier within Japan, usually within a week of blending. Delivery of five-litre containers is included within Osaka Prefecture and quoted for other areas. Please check the container on arrival; extract that has leaked in transit is replaced free of charge if reported within seven days.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms between growing seasons. Bookings and orders already confirmed stay under the version that applied when you placed them.
12. Questions About an Order or Visit
If something about a visit, plan or batch is unclear, write to info@kelp-corelab.com or call +81 6 6933 3757 with the date of the visit or the batch date printed on the label. We will check our records and reply in writing, so that the answer stays with the rest of your bed's history.
13. Records Kept for Each Booking
Every visit, plan and batch gets a dated entry in our ledger, including what was agreed and any changes made afterwards. You can ask for a copy of that entry at any time.
